EPP ROUNDS OUT EXPERTISE AT KOENIG’S HQ IN AUSTRIA

Innovative baking equipment specialist Koenig invited EPP technical sales support executive Jole Reddin to visit the Koenig HQ based in Graz, the second largest city in Austria. Jole was able to gain a deeper technical understanding of their capabilities to allow EPP to better showcase the benefits of Koenig’s impressive suite of solutions to UK and Irish customers.

Koenig has a long-standing relationship with EPP, spanning 46 years. With additional sites in Hungary, Italy and Germany, it offers a huge variety of machinery including small mixing, dividing and rounding, as well as cooling and freezing solutions. Koenig strives for long lasting reliability and quality in all its products to offer bakers solutions that simplify production and produce high quality and consistent batches every time.

Jole was welcomed by Guenter Sebanz at Koenig to begin his two-day experience. Kicking off with a tour of the testing facilities, Jole was greeted by four knowledgeable bakers with expertise of the test bakery equipment that is available at the test facilities. After observing the equipment in operation, Jole got to work alongside the master bakers, making his own baguettes and small rolls to fully test the functionality of the Koenig lines and see the results and advantages that the equipment has to offer.

“I thoroughly enjoyed watching a Koenig Combiline and doughnut stamper in action and seeing how the machine can be adapted to suit different bakery needs depending on the final product,” Jole commented.“This is something I will pass onto our customers as different elements of equipment can be used in conjunction to perfect their final produce.”

Following the tour, Guenter and Jole delved deeper into Koenig’s products to understand more about the equipment and its usage. The duo took a close look at capacities and weight ranges to enable UK bakers to produce good quality, consistent products in a timely basis. Jole gained valuable knowledge about the individual equipment pieces, and developed a deeper understanding of which machinery produces the best solutions for certain products.

Building of the machinery was the key theme on the second day of the trip, where Jole was able to see the lines being put together by the experienced and knowledgeable engineers onsite. “It was amazing to see how many manufacturing and building processes occur onsite, with so many engineers present in the facilities. Koenig’s products are adaptable and are made to order, which means customers can have equipment made specifically for them and their individual requirements.”

The visit allowed Jole to enhance EPP’s knowledge and ensures the team recommend the ideal solution to customers in the UK & Ireland to meet their exact needs. Jole and the team at Koenig also invite customers to visit the testing facilities themselves. EPP highly recommends this to allow customers to try their own recipes on the equipment themselves before making a purchase. Alternatively, EPP have many reference sites in the UK that can be of interest to customers to see the equipment in action.

If you are interested in expanding your production line or want to produce better quality and more consistent products, Koenig could be the brand for you. Exclusively distributed within the UK by EPP, the team can help bakers find the most suitable solution, and even arrange a visit to a reference or test site closest to you. Please contact us and we can assist you with any questions or enquiries you may have.
